The Christian Center, Inc. is a faith based 501(c) (3) not-for-profit corporation. The Christian Center believes that all we have comes from God, through individual and corporate donors, and that we must employ God's principles and practices in handling what He entrusts into our care. We recognize our accountability both to Him and to our donors.
We understand our responsibility to be faithful stewards and to maintain integrity and transparency in our communication and financial practices. Therefore, we are committed to integrity—to openly demonstrating how we effectively operate in fulfilling ministry, and in meeting the following standards:
- We subscribe to a written Statement of Faith, which affirms our commitment to the evangelical Christian doctrine, and our deep desire to live it out every day. Providing hope, encouragement, and a purpose for living in Christ is the objective of our ministries, and therefore, also the objective of our financial conduct.
- A responsible and qualified Board of Directors governs The Christian Center. Our full Board meets the third Tuesday of every month to establish policies, review operations and procedures, set budgets, review ministry accomplishments, and to assist in setting goals.
- Our financial statements are prepared using an accounting system set up on a cash basis in accordance with the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Christian Center employs the services of an independent public accounting firm, Couch & Company LLC, to prepare our Form 990 in accordance with IRS guidelines.
