Alex Erwin, Financial Specialist

Alex Erwin is the quintessential, quirky numbers genius at The Christian Center—otherwise known as the Financial Specialist. Whether it's a report or two cranked out from the financial database that is needed, some reports generated for Board review, donor contribution information, or just some number crunching in general, Alex is the resident QuickBooks King.

Originally enrolling at Anderson University with a specified accounting major, Alex was surprised to find himself gravitating more towards a ministry focus for his professional future. Exposed to social needs through spiritual emphasis speakers, course work, ministry opportunities and mission trips, Alex decided to change his major to Math and Christian Ministries.

Some might find that an odd degree combination, but in God's plan it was the perfect preparation for his job with The Christian Center.

Alex shares, "Despite the fact that I'm working in an office, largely tucked away from the people we serve—at the same time, I maintain a deep awareness of their needs, and as I work, my focus is on them."
