Midnight Parade = Success!Tuesday, July 07, 2009Print this ArticleThank you Bethany Christian Church and all the many volunteers who came out to sell hot dogs and hamburgers for The Christian Center during the Midnight Parade! We are encouraged by the support of the local businesses and community. Over $525 was raised, and all of this money will go towards future volunteer projects at TCC, including the restoration of the courtyard! The grills were fired up in the courtyard around 8 pm on July 3rd, and volunteers stood ready in the kitchen to package the hot dogs and hamburgers to sell. Volunteers then went out amongst the crowds, pulling wagons stocked with food. Volunteers are vital to The Christian Center. Thank you, once again, Bethany Christian, for your creative ideas and time you invest! This event was such a success because of local involvement. Thanks to: The Lemon Drop, Gene's Root Beer, Pay Less Super Market, Bethany Christian Church, Phillippe Water, McDonald's, and all customers at the parade! |
