Richard Harvey

Outreach Coordinator

Richard Harvey serves as the Director of Community Assistance at The Eleos Center, where he works closely with unhoused individuals and families—helping them move from crisis to stability through hands-on support, advocacy, and connection to long-term resources. With more than 30 years of experience in youth and children's ministry—including eight years as a Children's Pastor—Richard has devoted his life to uplifting those in need. Before stepping into nonprofit leadership, Richard was trained as an elementary school teacher and spent six years in the classroom. He later served 12 years on a local school board, advocating for students and families, and also owned and operated a small business for over a decade, bringing structure and entrepreneurial insight to his current role. Richard is passionate about building bridges between community members and those experiencing hardship, always focused on compassionate, practical solutions. Above all, his greatest joy is time spent with his wife of 24 years and their two teenage daughters.
